Warning System

For breaking the rules once, users will get one unofficial warning. If the rule breaking continues, an official warning will be given. Breaking any rules after the official warning has been given may warrant a ban from the site.

  • Rule break 1 - unofficial warning
  • Rule break 2 - official warning
  • Rule break 3 - Possible ban (after discussion)

Serious rule breaks may result in one or even two of these steps being skipped and an automatic ban being given.

Multiple Accounts

There is no reason for anyone to have more than one account on Football Manager Wiki. If you have been denied registration, there is sure to be a good reason for this. Also, if you have found that your account has been blocked, you can also be sure that this is for a good reason.

For those merely wishing for a new username, contact either of the admins giving a reason that you wish for a name change, and it will be discussed amongst us.

If you have any queries on why you can not have an account on the site please contact either of the admins on the site.

Advertising

Advertising anything on the site is strictly not allowed, and is the main reason that accounts now need verifying by admins before any new users can make edits.

As we had so much trouble with this in the sites earlier days, it is safe to say that we are getting fed up with advertising and it will be taken very seriously.

Spamming

The same applies to spamming as it does for advertising - editing useless information into pages is not allowed.

This can include adding off topic information into pages, however it also covers inserting anything else into the site that obviously does not have a place on the site.

Copyrighted Information

Them

Even with work that is not legally copyrighted, please do not post anything onto the site that you have taken from another site without permission. We wouldn't want anyone to take our work without gaining permission first, and we expect that anything you post on Football Manager Wiki is either your own work or posted with permission given to others - with credit given to the original author.

Also, any information that is legally copyrighted should not be posted on the site. Although it is unlikely, we do not want to risk getting in trouble by posting copyrighted information on the site. If any copyrighted information is posted, there is a chance that it could be deleted.

Us

Although none of the work on Football Manager Wiki is legally copyrighted, we do ask that anyone wishing to use pages from the site on your own websites ask the admins for permission before taking the work. It is likely that you will be given permission to use out articles, as we know it is important that there are various places for people to get Football Manager Information.

Adding Disclaimers/Signing off at the end of pages

You may have noticed that there is a box at the end of certain pages giving credit to people who have given us permission to use/have written up content and passed it on to us for our own use on the site. The purpose of these disclaimers are to give credit to those who we have posted up pages for. It is not necessary to add one for yourself to your if you are a member of this site. The history already shows who originally created the page so there is no need. Disclaimers that are posted up by yourself, for yourself will be deleted at the admins' discretion.

Other Information

The admins on this site have the right to refuse anyone an account on the site, and can also ban or warn users whenever appropriate.

Everything that you post on Football Manager Wiki can be edited by any user, so if you do post something then you can expect for it to be edited during its time on the site.
